Week 20 has come with the best news. After an agonizing 2 weeks of waiting for the blood test results, all the genetic testing has come back negative for Down's Syndrom, Trisomy 18 and Spina Bifida. It seems Junior's development physically is right on schedule as well. I had an ultrasound on Monday where they took 65 slides and measured every bone and checked out every internal organ. The photos are amazing! We could see the 4 chambers of the heart pumping away, the brain, bladder, everything. The baby weighs 10oz. He or she was sitting with legs crossed, comfortably in indian style at the moment. The sonographer got an amazing shot of one of the babes hands. I am feeling more and more movement as the weeks click on. Right now the movement feels like little finger tips tickling my insides.
Reality. There really is a kid in there and this really is happening. I cannot help but get attached to the youngster! We are very relieved and excited parents at the moment.
